Neil's Legacy
A Clemson man whose warmth made everyone family
Neil Carson McMackin was a son, a friend, and a fierce competitor on the soccer field. The scholarship created in his name carries that same spirit forward — quietly, generously, and year after year.
Friends still greet one another with a high five in his memory. That small gesture became a tournament, the tournament became a scholarship, and the scholarship became a path to Clemson for students across South Carolina.

Support that follows a student all the way through
Each year we award scholarships to South Carolina students heading to Clemson University. Recipients may be supported for up to four years, so the award grows with the student rather than ending after freshman move-in.

- Open to graduating South Carolina students.
- Bound for Clemson
- Applicants plan to attend Clemson University.
- Biology preferred
- A preference for the biological sciences — never a requirement.
- Soccer preferred
- A nod to Neil's game — also never a requirement.
